My trip to Universal Studios ++++
JUST PICTURES & PICTURES of the STUFF I LIKE….SKIP THIS if you don’t like pictures
This is a brief detailed introduction to you about +TOPSHELF+. For all the people that have followed my little journey of life via twitter/blog/facebook knows that my nightlife is quite a eventful one. I’ve managed to go out more than the average household family. I do this for a little company that I started about 2 years ago.

I started doing this promotion thing when I was 20 to make a couple of extra dollars while I worked part-time and attended school. After figuring out a decent formula (via help from Excel) I started to put together school college events together. These events were usually 18+ and I continued putting these events together which concluded either big losses, or big pluses! It did what it had to do though at the time, but I wanted to venture into the next level. I wanted to do bigger and better. Average just wasn’t going to do. After a brief trip out of the country to do some work and discover a bit about myself, I came back to California and approached my soon to be partners in this business Eric Cho & Jeff Liu. (A la Party Til AM) The next two years were a journey. Went on a long stints at 2 very strong Weekly nights. Threw various special promo events for/with great people, organizations and companies. We suffered our tough losses & had great times. But definitely finally, ON2THENEXTONE. We merged with good friends Herman Wong & Wil San from Founding Members and formed a mega team entitled + TOPSHELF +.![]()
TOPSHELF: It signifies a state of life where you want to move on to that next level. You’re not looking for that constant thing in your life. That stagnant style of partying. That same black dress/dress shirt that you’ve been wearing every week. Its a invitations to the Entrepreneurs, the Lawyers, The Pharmacists, The Sales Guys, the Marketing guy, the Grad student, etc,. Pretty much anyone who is looking to enter that next stage of their life. To reach a little higher for a little better. To mature in life. It all starts with how you live it. Seek the good things in life, don’t cheapen your lifestyle. Don’t emulate the lifestyle, but create it yourself. Live that lifestyle with TOPSHELF. We’re up for the ride.

Since finding out about Mister @Mike Relm I’ve been investigating on some video mashups. This guy is pretty dope
recently he showed this Music Video mashup at Wembley Stadium in London for the Capital FM’s Summertime Ball. The following fifteen of these artists all performed.

* Dizzee Rascal – Bonkers
* Ellie Goulding – Starry Eyed
* Jason Derulo – In My Head
* JLS – One Shot
* Justin Bieber – Baby
* Ke$ha – Tik Tok
* Pixie Lott – Mama Do
* Rihanna – Rude Boy
* Scouting For Girls – This Ain’t a Love Song
* Tinie Tempah – Pass Out
* Usher feat. Will.I.Am – OMG
* The Wanted – All Time Low
I love LA.

Its about halfway thru 2010, and I’ve realized how fast time flies. I was recently offered a position in New York. Now I’ve never really ever thought about leaving LA ever for anything, but you never really know what you’re going to do til the situation happens. For a good couple of days I seriously thought I was going to move out to New York.

Sure I didn’t like the rude fast paced chinese delivery food restaurants, and how the greenery doesn’t compare to cali. I DID like that it was a city that never sleeps, and every place was walkable. I definitely felt that my 24 hour champagne diet, no sleepin, hustle every day motto would mesh well out there. It would be a big change! Everyone I talked to told me that I would definitely expand my horizons living out in a big city a lone.

What really switch things on me was the talks I had with the mentors and business partners that I’ve made. It reminded me of all the things I’ve help built, and what I learned. Great mentors are hard to find. I realized while this tour was slowly coming to an end, I’ve been the happiest I’ve been in a long while. I actually feel like I’ve found a groove that I like. I’ve been blessed to be surrounded by people who I believe will help change the world somehow some way in a big way. I invested into my career early, and I don’t plan on jumping out of a winning car. I still have a lot to learn.

I set a goal for myself 4 years ago, and I plan on completing that goal with me here in Los Angeles.

Yes, I can have great new experiences in New York, but I can create great ones on my own anywhere.

So I apologize for speaking too early about Moving out of town. I was being a bit haste, and not thinking clearly.

I am LA all day.

- Tom

P.S. come on ….me at a normal 9-5??

If you haven’t been following me on twitter/facebook (http://www.twitter.com/tomngo422 / http://www.facebook.com/tomngo ) then you wouldn’t know that I’ve been on tour for this concert that I’ve been helping put together. APAHM 2010. Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. Its a concert series celebrating Asian American Heritage thrown by my company (Plan C Group). This is the 3rd one they’ve put together, and I was able to participate this year by helping out w/ the viral marketing & branding of the tour. I was also asked to host the concert. (Yeee). This years tour features Van Ness Wu (the homie!) Evonne Hsu, JJ Lin, and Mike Relm (dude is a SIIIICK DJ) This is a 5 City tour (Seattle, New York, Washington DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles), and I haven’t been to 3 of those cities before, so I was definitely pumped for this trip. I took a couple flix but I didn’t get any from the show since, I was on stage. lol.
So here we go with the pictures.
Below is me and Nipsey Hussle at the Seattle Airport. Nipsey Hussle is a new westcoast rapper, that I am definitely feelin’. He’s from Los Angeles, reppin that hooooood shit. I bumped into him on the plane ride there, and I think he was definitely surprised that I knew who he was. (I am not your typical hip hop fan) (NIPSEY HUSSLE – HUSSLE IS MY LAST NAME)

Ivar’s Salmon House. Delicious. Period.

Salmon Halibut.

Meet DJ Hyphen. He does the Sunday Sessions on CUBE93. Dude is a coool guy. Found out he’s a big hip hop geek. He’s a internet tech geek, but he also digs hip hop. Plus he’s into sports. We had a really good lunch choppin’ it up. He didn’t help me by pushing me towards getting a MACBOOK PRO….Also found out that the day I met Nipsey, he was actually hit up by Nipsey’s crew to DJ for him that night. LOL! Small WORLD! —> check his blog http://www.theaudacityofdope.com/

The show was flyyyyyyy. Heres a picture of the me and my coworkers & the performers after the show. ![]()
